Migrant Minds: Psychology of Migration
Migration has accompanied humanity throughout history and remains a part of our society today. Regardless of the reasons behind it, the migration process is associated with various conditions or pathologies that can shape the experiences of migrants.
At the same time, within psychology this field has not been researched as extensively as in other disciplines. As a result, there is a lack of specialized professionals able to provide support to migrants who need it.
To address this gap, Migrant Minds was created. The project aims to develop advanced training in migration psychology that broadens the knowledge of psychologists, educators, and, more generally, professionals working with migrant communities.
To create a scientific and technical knowledge base in the field of migration psychology.
To improve the skills of psychological professionals in the field of migration psychology.
To improve the social integration of migrants.
To raise awareness of the importance of mental health care at the European level.
Participating Organizations
Volvemos.org
Initiative to promote the return of emigrants to Spain through employment guidance services, psychological support, and administrative assistance. It acts as an intermediary between emigrants, companies, and public administrations, designing public policies to address the needs of the emigrant community.
International University SDI Munich
The International University SDI Munich specializes in intercultural communication and offers accredited Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in business, communication, digital media, and languages. It is distinguished by an international atmosphere, both among the professors and the students.
Babele Onlus
Babele Onlus is a non-profit organization that has been committed since 2001 to the reception and integration of foreign families in the Pavia region (Italy). Babele particularly supports children in integrating into school and helps families get to know the region and its network of services, thereby promoting their full sociocultural integration.

Discover and understand how the migration experience affects a person emotionally.
The course is 100% online and lasts approximately 40 hours. You can access the information whenever you want and progress at your own pace, regardless of your location or availability. In addition, the teaching team will be available whenever you need assistance or have questions.
The course material is divided into three modules: 1. Conceptual map of migration and basic concepts, 2. The individual, and 3. The environment. You can check the course content index here.
At the end of each module, you will find a test to consolidate your knowledge. At the end of the course, we will propose a practical exercise based on a real case so you can apply what you have learned. This exercise will be graded by the instructors, and you will receive corresponding feedback. Once you complete the course, you will receive a certificate of completion.
